Sugarless eye candy

For the record the guys at my gym don’t look like this and if they did maybe I would go more often. After all, sugarless eye candy has no calories.
I am trying to shake up my work out routines this week to burn off more calories. I am doing the entire Biggest Loser DVD at one time. I am so glad that I am not on the Loser Ranch because I have been know to take a potty break during the workout and I am not sure that Jillian and Bob allow that.
When I finish the hour-long tape, I hit my bike for another 30 minutes. Every other day I get out the weights and do a strength training tape. Not only am I trying to lose weight, but I am also trying to tone my body that has more sagging skin than I want to think about most days.
Thanks God for clothes.
P.S. Pilates is a great way to tone as well. I try to do that after work because it is so relaxing.

Hey Lisa - there definitely aren’t any guys that look that at my gym. In fact, I’m one of only two guys there on the nights I do aerobics. I sure as hell don’t look like that, and the other guy, although in shape, doesn’t look that way either!
Anyhow, I wanted to comment about “toning.” I know I’ve mentioned to you how much I hate my current “shape”, which is a cross between deflated Pillsbury Dough Boy and Humpty Dumpty.
I’ve been doing aerobics twice per week. One night is cardio-step (work up a heck of a sweat), and the other is strength/toning oriented and incorporates a lot of Pilates move. Unfortunately, my body doesn’t understand what I’m trying to do to it and protests loudly enough that everyone can hear (literally - you can hear my skin “slapping” back and forth during step aerobics…not pleasant, I assure you).
I keep reminding myself having 212 less pounds is the most important, quit freaking out about the skin. However, if I knew it wouldn’t kill me and scar me for life, I would seriously consider chopping it off with a knife, using some duct tape and bottle of Vicodin as part of the process…Will I ever be “toned”? Will I ever have abs instead of flabs? Sigh…

Thank God for clothes. This last blast of losing weight has brought the subject front and center again. The one bit advice that I have for sagging skin is use a lot of lotion in the winter. No real proof but at least your skin is healthy in the winter. Some of it will take care of itself on its own. Our bodies need time to heal itself. We did a great deal of damage to it by carrying around all those pounds for all those years:)
